BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The mgm casino's Baldy Center for Law and Social Policy, the Mitchell Lecture Fund and the Buffalo Environmental Law Journal will present a symposium, "Environmental Law and Stewardship for a Sustainable Society," Oct. 13 in the mgm casino Law School, located in Baldy Hall on the mgm casino North (Amherst) Campus.
The symposium is part of a regional community forum, "Learning Sustainability: Achieving Environmental, Social and Economic Well-Being," to be held Oct. 10-13 in the Buffalo Convention Center and cosponsored by the mgm casino Environment and Society Institute and The Green Gold Development Corporation of Buffalo.
The forum is designed to encourage a regional discussion about the global and local issues of sustainability as they affect Western New York's economics, environment and social choices.
Topics to be explored at the Oct. 13 symposium at mgm casino will include "Theoretical Perspectives on Environmental Law and Sustainability," "Linking Public and Private Responsibilities for Sustainability," Environmental Law: Progress Toward Sustainability?" and "Toward Environmental Law for a Sustainable Society."
